WAKAGEKI
- Wakageki is created as a story or a myth,
- like Yamato-uta, Wakageki is based on ancient Japanese literature and the music is written by contemporary Japanese composers,
- to create Wakageki, songs are chosen in specific way and order to make a story,
- there is narration which is written in Japanese by a contemporary Japanese writer (Noboru Suganuma). The narration connects all the songs in one plot. It can be presented not only in Japanese but also in any other language.
- patterns of Japanese graphics are presented in the background of the stage,
- whole concert lasts ca. 70 minutes
An audience which is interested in adventures and love affairs of ancient Japanese heroes, will appreciate Wakageki.
