YAMATO-UTA

• concert Yamato-uta consists of 7 or 8 songs,
• lyrics are taken from ancient Japanese literature thus songs are sung in Japanese language of 7th-11th century,
• music is written by contemporary Japanese composers (i.a. Naomi Utamakura),
• before performing every song, the artist explains historical background and meaning of it,
• patterns of Japanese graphics are presented in the background of the stage,
• whole concert lasts ca. 60 minutes

An audience which would like to know different styles of Japanese poetry during one concert will appreciate Yamato-uta.
